30 paintings in 30 days.

Day 28
Wow, day 28.  I am so proud of my stick-to-itiveness........my perseverance.

We are at our cabin and my view is so lovely.  There's a fire in the wood stove, and the chickadees and squirrels are in the bird feeders. My husband had a little visit with a couple deer and all is right with the world.
We are enjoying a nice quiet weekend after a week of looking after our grandchildren.  (I do miss their smiling little faces though. ).
Today's painting is their dog, Milo.  He's a 14 year old Bichon Shih Tzu cross. He is our very first Granddog, and we love to pieces.

30 paintings in 30 days. Day 25

January 25
We are staying with our grandchildren, and two dogs and two cats, while our son and daughter in law are in the Dominican. (Lucky ducks). We are pretty lucky, too.  We love those little munchkins.   However, yesterday, they were both sick! So they stayed home from school.....we talked to their parents and they made the call, thank goodness.  As a result,  my painting ended up an after-bedtime event.
This is Brie, one of our  our granddogs.  We've bonded more over this last week. As a pup she would always jump in our fish pond (of course......she's a lab) upsetting the fountain and the fish. Lol.
She's matured and has much better manners now.  We had a fun photo session Sunday morning and she was so attentive, I got some great pictures.

30 paintings in 30 Days. Day 23

LJanuary 23
I am so proud of myself.  I've been managing to do my painting each day, and keep up with the grandchildren and their schedule.  My husband is pretty amazing, though. He's the one who watches the time, and does lots of the cooking. Thanks, dear:))

Day 19. This pet portrait thing has turned into predominantly Dog Portraits.  When I posted yesterday, I wasn't happy with it. So I changed it.

30 paintings in 30 Days. Day 5

My theme for this 30 in 30 is pet portraits. I got so many photos and I continue to receive submissions everyday and I could carry on til June if I wanted to.  Thank you to everyone who took the time to send them in. The best photos to work from are clear and show the animals personality. I have been so fortunate to get so many great ones.

Today's painting is Bear, the white lab.  In this painting Bear is still a puppy.  His photo was submitted by Jill Kelly, thank you Jill!

30 Paintings in 30 Days. Day 2 January 2, 2017

When I signed up for this challenge, I thought about what I would paint.  I was commissioned to do several pet portraits last fall, and I had so much fun with them.  I got really creative with color and they turned out great.  So I posted Facebook and Instagram asking people to send me their pet photos, and did they ever!  I got so many I could do several 30 in 30 Chalenges.

Today's offering is a portrait of Bubbles, a Bernese Mountain dog who belongs to the Miller Family.  Billi Miller, Bubbles' mom, is an author and photographer.  Her book of stories and recipes profiles the lives and contributions of Farmwives of the Prairies. Check out her website for more information
