30 Paintings in 30 Days, day 2

Day 2
I listened to a podcast about marketing, and they said to find your Niche Market.  So I thought, well, my Pet Portraits certainly appeal to dog Lovers, so I joined a couple Facebook groups, and posted some of my work.  I received lots of feedback and some orders.  When I decided to do the 30in30 for February, I posted a little video on one of the groups and the response was PHENOMENAL!!
I will be doing lots of shipping this month.

This is Baxter.  He and his "Brother" love hiking in the mountains and playing in the snow!!

Here we go again.  30 in 30.  I signed up for this painting challenge on Leslie Saeta's blog.  She is the host of a podcast I listen to called Artists Helping Artists.  She hosts this painting Challenge twice a year.  This is my 4th challenge.  I started doing pet portraits last January and decided to do pets again this time.

This is Roo.  Her owner, Ellicia says that she is a "Fiesty Little rocket with the biggest heart...she loves to meet new people! (I know, weird for a Chihuahua)"

I think she is pretty sweet.  Ellicia thought she was too sad in the first version of the painting, so I tried to "cheer her up"

To submit photos to have your pet included in my 30in30, or to commission your own Pet Portrait, email me grafitti@telus.net

30 paintings in 30 days. Day 25

January 25
We are staying with our grandchildren, and two dogs and two cats, while our son and daughter in law are in the Dominican. (Lucky ducks). We are pretty lucky, too.  We love those little munchkins.   However, yesterday, they were both sick! So they stayed home from school.....we talked to their parents and they made the call, thank goodness.  As a result,  my painting ended up an after-bedtime event.
This is Brie, one of our  our granddogs.  We've bonded more over this last week. As a pup she would always jump in our fish pond (of course......she's a lab) upsetting the fountain and the fish. Lol.
She's matured and has much better manners now.  We had a fun photo session Sunday morning and she was so attentive, I got some great pictures.

30 Paintings in 30 Days. Day 17

This sweet little French Bulldog took his time coming out. I had a totally different background at first.........And I didn't care for it.  So I changed it!!  Now I am happy with it.
