Pet of the week. Sunday, February 19th

Family Day.
We are at our cabin at Murphy Lake, Saskatchewan.
Yesterday, we walked out into the frozen lake. Our friends and my husband did a little ice fishing and I visited.  Then we had a Bon fire and roasted hot dogs for supper.  Mmm.  This morning we woke up to snow.  Now, we will have to pack up and head home because my husband,  Roy, does snow removal.

This weeks pet is Cesar.  His puppy picture is so sweet. Unfortunately he had an autoimmune disorder, and passed away. He had a blue eye and s green eye.  Jennah, his owner told me that she read that the Native   Americans believed the different eye color in dogs meant they had "ghost eyes" that one eye could see heaven and the other Earth.

30 paintings in 30 days. Day 25

January 25
We are staying with our grandchildren, and two dogs and two cats, while our son and daughter in law are in the Dominican. (Lucky ducks). We are pretty lucky, too.  We love those little munchkins.   However, yesterday, they were both sick! So they stayed home from school.....we talked to their parents and they made the call, thank goodness.  As a result,  my painting ended up an after-bedtime event.
This is Brie, one of our  our granddogs.  We've bonded more over this last week. As a pup she would always jump in our fish pond (of course......she's a lab) upsetting the fountain and the fish. Lol.
She's matured and has much better manners now.  We had a fun photo session Sunday morning and she was so attentive, I got some great pictures.

30 paintings in 30 Days. Day 14

Day 14. January 14th.

Today's painting is of a handsome pup named "Ricky".
I used to work with Ron in my "other life" when I worked in banking.  He and his lovely wife Christine, are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet.  Christine sent me a couple photos of Ricky , their " Granddog " to use in my 30 in 30 challenge. I noticed in the background of the photo, the decor of the room was what I would consider, Shabby Chic.  A white slipcovered wing chair, a a carpet with pink roses on it. So I decided to use  a loose rose background for Ricky's portrait. I also created a time lapse video of a portion of the painting and posted it on my Instagram page and my Facebook page. The link to my Facebook is on the sidebar here.

30 Paintings in 30 Days day 13

Holy crap!  It's tough doing a painting for every day. I have had more 3 AM bedtimes than I ever did as a teenager.  In a row!

Almost every painting that I've posted in this 30in30 challenge has sold....all but one!  That's so exciting!

This puppy belonged to a young woman that since known since the day she was born.  "Bodi", a white Bull Terrier is missed very much by Rejean and Patrick.  I love the markings in Bodi's nose........it's a heart!!
