Pet of the week. Sunday, February 19th

Family Day.
We are at our cabin at Murphy Lake, Saskatchewan.
Yesterday, we walked out into the frozen lake. Our friends and my husband did a little ice fishing and I visited.  Then we had a Bon fire and roasted hot dogs for supper.  Mmm.  This morning we woke up to snow.  Now, we will have to pack up and head home because my husband,  Roy, does snow removal.

This weeks pet is Cesar.  His puppy picture is so sweet. Unfortunately he had an autoimmune disorder, and passed away. He had a blue eye and s green eye.  Jennah, his owner told me that she read that the Native   Americans believed the different eye color in dogs meant they had "ghost eyes" that one eye could see heaven and the other Earth.

30 paintings in 30 days.

Day 28
Wow, day 28.  I am so proud of my stick-to-itiveness........my perseverance.

We are at our cabin and my view is so lovely.  There's a fire in the wood stove, and the chickadees and squirrels are in the bird feeders. My husband had a little visit with a couple deer and all is right with the world.
We are enjoying a nice quiet weekend after a week of looking after our grandchildren.  (I do miss their smiling little faces though. ).
Today's painting is their dog, Milo.  He's a 14 year old Bichon Shih Tzu cross. He is our very first Granddog, and we love to pieces.

30 Paintings in 30 Days

I've been trying to get caught up on my painting jobs.  Our cabin is at Murphy Lake, Saskatchewan and the little area where we live needs a new sign, and I got elected to create it.  This is the view from our cabin.  We love to listen to the loon's haunting song from our deck in the evenings.

Day 3 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

This is my third nest egg painting.  Why?  Well, I've been teaching nest classes, and I tend to get my painting to a certain stage, so my students can follow along, then I help and advise them, without finishing mine.  So, I have taken some unfinished ones, and really messed with them.  This one started out with a yellow ochre background, and the eggs were bright turquoise.   I am loving the purple!
We are at our cabin at Murphy Lake right now.  So I painted between visits with my parents, our neighbours, and enjoying the view.
My mom was excited when I pointed out the my painting matched her outfit.
