The Raven 

We were on our way to the cabin a couple summers ago, and stopped for lunch at The Farmhouse in St. Walburg, Saskatchewan. While we were enjoying our meal, somebody called our attention to the Raven stealing our buns out of the back of our truck. We ran out to shoo it away and but I grabbed the camera to take some photos first. I got a couple blurry ones, perfect for the reference for this painting.

I've been trying to get caught up on my painting jobs.  Our cabin is at Murphy Lake, Saskatchewan and the little area where we live needs a new sign, and I got elected to create it.  This is the view from our cabin.  We love to listen to the loon's haunting song from our deck in the evenings.  

Antique Chairs and Art

My new friend, Jenny, brought me these chairs to paint.  They belonged to her husbands grandmother and he is very sentimental about them.  I got rid of the peeling paint, painted them both Heirloom White, then painted on them.  The landscapes are reminiscent of area his family is from.  The elevator, sunflowers and crab apple tree are things he remembers about growing up.

It is 48 x 60......that's 4 feet by 5 feet  Heavily textured acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas.  The foliage in the foreground was painted with a pallet knife. Signed on the front

and signed and dated on the back.

A beautiful addition to a foyer, stairwell, an office or a room with a vaulted ceiling.
