We are at our cabin at Murphy Lake right now. So I painted between visits with my parents, our neighbours, and enjoying the view.

Day 3 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days
This is my third nest egg painting. Why? Well, I've been teaching nest classes, and I tend to get my painting to a certain stage, so my students can follow along, then I help and advise them, without finishing mine. So, I have taken some unfinished ones, and really messed with them. This one started out with a yellow ochre background, and the eggs were bright turquoise. I am loving the purple!

30 paintings in 30 days Challenge
I signed up for this painting challenge after hearing about it on Artists Helping Artists, a podcast I listen to. I decided to try to consistently create a painting everyday! Here is my first one.

I had some cabinet doors that I picked up at the local Re-Store.
I painted and distressed them a long time ago, but had put them away and forgot about them for a bit.
I took them to the lake, and did a little painting on a rainy weekend.
I love the idea of using things that might be tossed out.
These two items are some of my favorite subjects.
