30 in 30 Day 24

I wish this was my 24th painting to post this month, but I think I'm off by a couple.  Oh well, I am painting a ton!!  And some can't be posted yet because they are gifts.  Sooo, no big deal.  Today's painting is a little dog named Tyson.  He's a Shihtzu Pom cross, something I had never heard of before, but if I was getting a dog, this would be it!!  Talk about cute!  This guy is an animal actor, playing the part of Toto over 30 times live, on stage in Alberta.  Take a bow-wow, Tyson.
My photo has a bit of glare, as the paint is still wet in areas. lol

Here we go again.  30 in 30.  I signed up for this painting challenge on Leslie Saeta's blog.  She is the host of a podcast I listen to called Artists Helping Artists.  She hosts this painting Challenge twice a year.  This is my 4th challenge.  I started doing pet portraits last January and decided to do pets again this time.

This is Roo.  Her owner, Ellicia says that she is a "Fiesty Little rocket with the biggest heart...she loves to meet new people! (I know, weird for a Chihuahua)"

I think she is pretty sweet.  Ellicia thought she was too sad in the first version of the painting, so I tried to "cheer her up"

30 Paintings in 30 days. January 1, 2017

For my second attempt at doing 30 paintings in 30 days, I decided that the subject matter would be animal portraits. When I did the challenge in September, I didn't have a theme.
I published posts in Facebook and Instagram and had such great feedback from people.  I  received some amazing dog photos ......and a goat, a pig, a few cats, a horse or two, some cows and a parrot named Roger!
My first painting is 16 x 16 inches on gallery wrapped canvas.  The photo was submitted by Sandra Tschauner and the dog's name is Ulani.  Thank you, Sandra!
I look forward to your comments.  Please share and please send me any pet/animal portraits you would like to share.
