30 Paintings in 30 Days. Day 5
What to paint today?? Hmm. I love painting horses, and on the way home from the lake today, there were about 25 wild horses on both sides of the road.......And one donkey. I took tons of photos, and they were spectacular!! I've had such fun painting this young warrior pony, that I've just realized it's almost 3:00AM!!! And I don't feel tired at all. And I actually really like the sketch the way it is.

30 Paintings in 30 Days
I've been trying to get caught up on my painting jobs. Our cabin is at Murphy Lake, Saskatchewan and the little area where we live needs a new sign, and I got elected to create it. This is the view from our cabin. We love to listen to the loon's haunting song from our deck in the evenings.

Day 3 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days
This is my third nest egg painting. Why? Well, I've been teaching nest classes, and I tend to get my painting to a certain stage, so my students can follow along, then I help and advise them, without finishing mine. So, I have taken some unfinished ones, and really messed with them. This one started out with a yellow ochre background, and the eggs were bright turquoise. I am loving the purple!
We are at our cabin at Murphy Lake right now. So I painted between visits with my parents, our neighbours, and enjoying the view.

Sometimes, you just change your mind......
I started this painting, for a show a local decorator, Dawn's Interiors, is hosting in her shop. The show is called "A Prarie Winter". Round bales in the snow, so typical of the prairies. The more I worked on it the less I was happy with it, though. I got looking at more photos on Morguefile, a site that has copyright free photos you can use and I got re-inspired! Then it turned into this! Yup, painted right over that sucker!! And I LOVE it.
It's 16 x 20 and my daughter, Angela, suggested the name " Storm", Perfect! I dropped it off yesterday for the show. Sometimes (always) it's better to stop the struggle and change directions.
