30 Paintings in 30 Days Day 18!!

This is Tucker.  He is a "big galoot" who was rescued in Edmonton by my neice, Nicole and her husband, Kam.  When they first got him he was very wary around kids.  But since George and Hunter came along, (and a soon to be sibling in July) he's just fine.  When they come to Murphy Lake, tucker loves to go running with Nicole and swimming for sticks.  He has the most expressive ears, too.  When he was younger, one always seemed to be up and one down.

Sarah Submitted Boston's photo to me quite a while ago.  I found it hard to photograph this painting with it's  dark background.  I'm sure there are some tips I could learn to do a better job taking pictures.Boston is a "rescue puppy" with some shepherd in him, for sure.   He just looks like the happiest guy around.  And so handsome.

It was a pleasure to paint him.

30 paintings in 30 days. Day 24

Day 24
This is Charlie.  Crystal was working in Churchill, Manitoba, when she discovered Charlie in less-than idea circumstances.  She had a long train ride to her new, wonderful life!  I feel so fortunate that I get to hear the most amazing stories.
