At the Edge of the Forest
24 x 20
oil on canvas
heavily textured (impasto)
175.00
Another "tree" painting from me based on the forest near Murphy Lake, Saskatchewan.
The oil paint on this canvas is quite thick, in fact it wasn't quite dry when I was trying to photograph it.
If you are interested in a "tree" painting based on you color scheme, feel free to leave me a message.
Available for sale at my Etsy store.
Thanks for looking!

note* color and cropping are close to original as possible but not exact.

Hello... The phone is ringing!! It's for you. We have this old phone (actually we have a couple of old phones...watch for the yellow one) and I wanted to paint it. I actually painted the entire canvas black then painted the negative space (the space that wasn't the phone) first. It was a fun exercise. I love vintage things, things that have a story to them. After my mother-in-law moved into her apartment and out of her big house
we got a bunch of vintage stuff...and it all has a story.

"Surf"
20 X 28
Acrylic on Canvas
225.00
When we were in Cuba, two years ago, I fell in love with the water. I have always been a "water-baby"
but when I swam in the ocean at Varadero, it felt like a coming home.
Sounds corny, but it was very emotional.
We went on a bus tour to Havana, and I snapped picture after picture from the bus window as we travelled
along the coastline. Most of the photos were blurry, but I kept them.
I am loving this aqua- turquoise color these days.
Hope you do, too. This one is for all the water babies out there, especially Angie, Nicole, Chantel and Dawn!
Available at my Etsy store or you can leave a comment.
Thanks for visiting!

You're it!
Tag!!
You're it
8 x 10
acrylic on canvas
45.00
This little painting is just for fun! I love these manilla tags....the texture and all the posibilities they hold.
I painted this canvas red first then the torquoise, then added the tag.
MMMMMM......what to put on the tag??.......Of course!
Then it made me think of all the fun games we played as kids,
tag, hide-and-go-seek, kick-the-can, (same thing, but depending on who you were playing with,
different rules.) Then it made me think of some of the other fun games we would play, too.
Like Truth or Dare and Spin the Bottle.
