Face Painting

These lovely ladies were going out to a Masquerade Party, and I was invited to come and paint their faces.  I have done some face painting, for a family reunion and a penny carnival, but I had never been able to do really beautiful Face Painting before.
The girls had their makeup done, and some had their glamorous fake eyelashes on, and then I added my touch.
So glad they let me come out to play.

These three kids waited patiently for their turn.
One Scary Boy and a couple of Beautiful Butterflies.

A Teenage Girl's Room

I actually did this room a few years ago,
but just decided to post these photos. The painting was all done in black, white or burgandy.  I love how it turned out.  These were lyrics from here favorite songs.

A Family portrait
A painting I was commissioned to paint by a friend of this family.
It was an interesting experience to paint this, without knowing these people and wondering what their story was.
I felt so connected to them, without knowing who they really are.

Our house

Our Sunroom, my favorite room in the house.  The collection on the wall
includes the xylophone that my father-in-law played with as a child,
my grandmothers' mesh purse that her aunt gave her for a wedding present,
my husbands grandmothers shoe hook, and a wood burning Victorian portrait she made too.
I made the greenman face and I hung the clock on a wrought-iron piece because it looks like wings.... and you know how time flies.  I built the willow chair about 4 years ago.  The monkey sitting on him is named Bob, and my granddaughter, Addisen, does NOT like him!

Another corner of the sunroom.  A chimney cupboard I picked up at an auction,
grandmas' washboard and Auntie Florence's drop-leaf table.

This hangs in our office.
The gate came from Auntie Florence and Uncle Jack's farm.
I found the star at a great booth in the Christmas Preview Show in Lloydminster.
