Nest of Eggs

8 x 8
mixed media
acrylic and paper
heavily textured paint
45.00

This little "Nest" painting very textured.  The nest itself stands up from the canvas, as can be seen in the bottom photo.  I used a technique I created,  to achieve the twig-like effect.
I have been into nests and eggs lately......I think I am looking forward to spring!  It has been very cold here and snowing most days.  The other day I had to boost my car and nearly froze off my fingers!

Years ago, while visiting my grandmother in Red Deer, I took a picture of a tree in bloom.

Brooklyn's Room

A little girl's room I did last spring.  I just realized I had never posted it.

Bright and colorful and fun,  yellow walls are great to paint on!

"Nest Egg III"

For Sale
Nest Egg III
5 x 5
Acrylic on Canvas
40.00
I am loving painting these little nest pictures for now.  Wouldn't it make a cute baby gift?
It is ready to hang or would look sweet on an easel.
What do you think?
It would make a nice gift for someone with three children, too.
Let me know if you have any other ideas.  Thanks, I would love to hear from you.

Nest Egg

"Nest Egg"
5 x 7
Acrylic on Canvas
45.00
This painting is sold.  If you would like one like it, I can paint you one, usually within a couple days.
A creative friend of mine, Dawn Lawrence Floen, of Sunshine Industries (beautiful jewelry!!)  took a photo of a robin's nest with an egg in it.  With her permission, I painted the little jem.
We have robins at the lake, but I have never been fortunate enough to get a photo of the eggs.
Thanks Dawn!
